Costa Rica

Rated as the happiest place on Earth, Costa Rica boasts a plethora of outdoor activities, practices impressive environmental and sustainability efforts, and is home to a diverse natural landscape. Fly through the stunning tree-top canopies by zipline, go white-water rafting, or check climbing a volcano off your bucket list. Costa Rica brings excellent coffee, unforgettable wellness practices, and an adrenaline-inspiring adventure. With Brownell’s valued partners and travel experts, Costa Rica has become a favorite place to return to year after year.

When is the best time of year to visit Costa Rica?

December-April is the best time to go, as it is the dry season. The rainy season is June-November, with September and October being the rainiest months.

What is the best way to get around?

The best way to see the country is by private air charter. This is the quickest, and you get to see the entire country by air. Otherwise, domestic flights, as well as private transfers, are good alternatives. The roads are very narrow, hilly, and curvy, so we do not recommend renting a car. Be sure to learn a few basic Spanish phrases, as everyone does not speak English—especially in the more remote areas!

What are the best Spring Break options?

Brownell works with several family-friendly hotels and resorts and local on-sites when booking Spring Break to Costa Rica. With a plethora of activities suitable for families, children will never grow bored here! Zip-lining through the rainforest, the Sky Tram tour of the rainforest, white-water rafting, and waterfall repelling are all very popular.
