The travel industry has always had an influence on my life, as I was surrounded by a family of airline crew & professionals in the travel trade. Jumping on a plane was a thrill for me (& still is) …. something I often did as I grew up in three different countries – India, Oman and the UAE. What is my nationality? I am an Indian citizen although I was born in Muscat, Oman where I’m currently residing & working.

In 2007, I left Dubai to further my education in Mumbai, India. After graduating with a commerce degree & trying to figure out the way forward, I was given an opportunity to join one of India’s highly respected DMCs – Ventours International Travel. Working with Ventours opened my eyes to the world of high-end bespoke travel & it was here that I understood the needs of a discerning traveller and meeting their expectations.

Working independently with US based clients & travel advisors, designing itineraries for individuals & small groups and logistics planning soon became part of everyday life, which I enjoyed thoroughly. I travelled extensively to the destinations I promoted, accompanying groups as a tour manager, overseeing operations and leading familiarization trips. Some of the most rewarding experiences from these trips were meeting people from different walks of life, exchanging stories, and making new friends. Oh and of course eating some incredible food!

In the recent years, I developed an interest in photography and improved upon it during the pandemic. It paired well with my career as it aided in promoting destinations as well as growing my presence on social media. I am proud to say that hotels have requested my photographs for their social media, and Nikon Middle East approached me to collaborate & create content.

What’s next? Exploring Oman’s natural beauty & a trip to Kenya to witness the Wildebeest Migration. Did I mention I love being on safari?
