Moskito Island

British Virgin Islands

Just two miles from Richard Branson’s famous Necker Island, this is a perfect fit if you don’t need a private island entirely to yourself but still want the exclusive feel. The resort offers three private estates that each come with a full staff and share communal recreation areas, so you can be as social (or anti-social) as you like.
Located on the southeast peninsula of St. Kitts and spanning the entire beach of Banana Bay, the hotel has views of Nevis. The hotel is part of Christophe Harbour, with easy access to the marina village for dining, shopping, and a superyacht marina.

Moskito Island is located in the eastern section of the British Virgin Islands, north of Virgin Gorda. From here, you can explore all the BVIs have to offer, but you may want to spend all your time on-island!

Defining Factor

While Necker Island is 100% Branson’s vision, Moskito Island has its own charm as the estates each have private homeowners and their own feel. Perfect for big families or small groups, the three estates sleep between 16-22 people with all the amenities you could need.

Insider Tips

See if you can spot an iguana – Branson moved some of the endangered iguanas to Moskito Island from Necker Island.

Take advantage of all the activities on the island – anything from guided beach hikes to water sports to cooking classes or even hiring a DJ for the night.

A stay on Moskito Island is all-inclusive, and you’ll likely have most of your meals prepared by your private chef at your estate. That said, there are options to dine around the island if you’d like a change of scenery.
