AmaWaterways pampers guests with everything they need and more, from specialty dining to hosted wellness activities to innovations such as AmaMagna’s pickleball court. Up to eight or more daily excursions are also included: guided hikes and bike tours, city tours offered at three activity levels, visits to historic landmarks and exclusive châteaux, culinary demonstrations, wine tastings and excursions for late risers, all operated in small groups and all included in the cruise fare. Guests also have the flexibility to either enjoy amenities on board or explore the destinations independently on foot or with one of AmaWaterway’s complimentary bicycles. Suggestions for the best museums, landmarks, restaurants and shopping are provided upon request by the knowledgeable Cruise Managers. In addition, AmaWaterways Co-Founders’ European heritage and relationships forged throughout the years have granted AmaWaterways access to exclusive events just for our guests, including a year-round Oktoberfest celebration in the Bavarian town of Vilshofen, complete with beer, fresh pretzels, live music and dancing.
As the first river cruise line that was inducted in La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, AmaWaterways is proud to bring the taste of each country to guest’s plates at every meal. Indulge in local flavors and even witness the journey of some of the fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared on board with visits to nearby markets, farms, wineries and distilleries.
This is also the case at The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant. Available on most of the ships throughout Europe, on the Mekong River and in Egypt, guests are treated to an exquisite multi-course tasting menu – with AmaWaterways’ compliments.
Guests may also indulge in complimentary sparkling wine with breakfast as well as wine, beer and soft drinks with every lunch and dinner. There is also a complimentary Sip & Sail cocktail hour featuring a drink of the day and a menu of cocktails, wine, beer and spirits, with mocktails also available on select ships.
