Six Senses Douro Valley

Lamego, Portugal

Why You Will Love It

Housed in a renovated 19th century manor house overlooking vineyards, the Six Senses Douro Valley offers an incredible blend of nature and luxury. From the moment you arrive on property, you can’t help but feel at peace in the beautiful setting.

Defining Factor

The sense of place. The hotel was designed in a way that brings the outside in. Large windows fill rooms with natural light and give you amazing views of the famed Douro Valley. And the gardens are amazing. Take time to wander through them and admire the beautiful setting.

Don't Leave Without

A trip to the spa. The spa treatments are also inspired by the destination, and the therapists are top. For wellness beyond a massage or facial, you can do aerial yoga, follow a guided meditation in the woods, or sit down with an in-house expert for a personalized program.

Dining

If there’s one thing every advisor agrees on, it is the exceptional dining at the Six Senses Douro Valley. Just as the interiors showcase the region’s natural beauty, the cuisine celebrates local flavors and Portuguese dishes. Dine in the Vale de Abraao Restaurant and enjoy regional cuisine, or savor small bites in the Quinta Bar and Lounge. And for tapas and wine, head to the Wine Library & Terrace.

Catch Up on Your Reading

…and your tasting at the Wine Library. It is well-stocked with books so you can learn more about the region's wine, and you can partake in the evening wine tasting with the resort's sommelier.
