Necker Island

British Virgin Islands

Why You Will Love It

If you’ve ever dreamed of relaxing on a private island, Necker Island is the spot for you. The 74-acre island was purchased by Sir Richard Branson in 1978 and can be rented for exclusive use. There are 20 bedrooms on the island spread between the Great House and smaller free-standing houses. The island comes fully staffed and all of your meals, drinks, and activities are included in your stay -- what's not to love?!

Defining Factor

Barefoot luxury. Though this is a billionaire’s private island, the amazing team makes you feel as comfortable here as you would in your own home.

Don't Leave Without

Meeting the resident wildlife! Beyond the typical beach activities, you can also have wildlife encounters around the island. Giant tortoises, iguanas, and flamingos are some of the more expected animals (flamingos were once native to the area!), but you can also make friends with lemurs!

All of your drinks and meals are included in your stay on Necker Island, and there are different spots around the island for dining. Watch the sunset from the roof terrace of The Great House during dinner, have a picnic on Turtle Beach, or nab a piece of sushi from the Floating Sushi Bar in the Beach Pool. The menus can be based on your preferences, so it is up to you!

Endless Activities:

There are tons of activities on the island, and most all of them are included in the stay. On land you can play tennis, relax during a yoga class, walk around the island, swim in one of the pools, or even enjoy some healthy competition during Beach Olympics. On the water you can kite surf, water ski, wake board, paddle board, kayak, snorkel, scuba, or sail a Hobie Cat. If that’s not enough, take a day trip and explore more of the BVIs via catamaran.

To get to Necker Island, you can fly into Tortola and take a boat from the airport to the island (roundtrip transfers to and from Beef Island Airport are included). You can also arrive via helicopter.
