Laura Patterson was bitten by the travel bug during a six-week journey through Europe at age 12 and is still scratching that itch today. After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree in French, she began her career in travel, learning the business from the ground up. She worked with Brownell during the 1990s and then moved to Houston where she continued to work in travel. In 2016, Laura returned to Birmingham and joined the Brownell team once again as a Travel Advisor.
Armed with more than 30 years of experience, Laura knows the importance of forming a relationship each client. She strives to understand why her clients are traveling so that she can gather the right information to curate a custom itinerary. Knowing clients are faced with an overload of information on the internet, Laura collaborates with clients using her first-hand knowledge and research to create a trip that will form lasting memories. Her attention to detail combined with her eye for logistics allows her clients to relax and enjoy their trip, knowing that she has their back.
Laura is an adventure travel enthusiast and loves planning everything from ski trips to scuba adventures to expedition cruises. Her personal trip to the Galapagos with Lindblad remains one of the most memorable experiences she has had to date. She also specializes in cruising and has been a Master Cruise Counselor since the late 1990s.
