Amanda inherited her love of travel from her grandmother and truly caught the travel bug on a family trip to Alaska during in high school. While attending Auburn University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting, Amanda studied abroad in Spain and traveled as much as she could. Wanting to expand her European experience, Amanda and her husband spent three months during the fall of 2015 living in France while working remotely.
Amanda loves all kinds of travel, especially anything that involves local food and adventure. She plans trips for clients across the globe, from hiking the Inca Trail in Peru to African safaris to European river cruises. She works with partners all over the world to craft the perfect trip for her clients and was named as one of Travel Agent’s Top 30 Under 30 in 2015.
Before starting her career at Brownell in 2012, Amanda worked as a CPA at a regional firm. Many of the skills she needed as an accountant are put to good use as she plans trips for her clients, especially her attention to detail. When she’s not out discovering new destinations, Amanda is based in Birmingham with her husband Doug and their son.
