Abbay believes that experiences that shape and define us go hand in hand with travel. For her, it was a bucket-list trip to Europe with friends that inspired her to apply for an international placement opportunity through her global accounting firm. Originally from Alabama, Abbay had no idea her placement in Auckland, New Zealand would forever change the course of her life and give her a new home and a new career as a travel advisor.
Prior to becoming a travel advisor, Abbay spent over six years as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and trusted business advisor. To Abbay, the most rewarding part of her career in finance was serving her clients and delivering exceptional financial services to clients across the globe. With a great enthusiasm for seeing the world, Abbay leverages her experience providing first-class client service and attention to detail to provide her travelers with the highest level of service and care from their very first consultation, during their travels, and even once they’ve returned home.
To say Abbay’s travel experiences vary widely is to put it lightly. From luxury boutique hotels to rural homestays, rugged multi-day hikes to yoga and surfing in the jungle of Sri Lanka, seeing Western Australia by campervan to glamping in the Phillippines on a private island – she has truly seen it all! Out of all of her memories made traveling, Abbay’s favorites include her around the world trip, hiking the scenic Alta Via 1 Travel in the Dolomites, and exploring her fiance’s former home in the English countryside. Since, she has returned to New Zealand reinvigorated by her travel experiences and eager to help her clients experience the power of travel.
Living in New Zealand for 3+ years, Abbay has traveled extensively in New Zealand and the South Pacific as both a tourist and a local. She is a true on-the-ground expert and loves nothing more than sharing deep insider knowledge with her clients. Want to follow along?
