Know Before You Go
Ask an AdvisorView all
Can you help me arrange a pre or post cruise trip in Amsterdam?
Absolutely! A few days in Amsterdam either before or after your cruise is a great way to explore the city and really see everything Amsterdam has to offer. Your Brownell advisor can work with local guides on the ground to create a tailor-made experience for you. Because of its easily accessible cruise port, it is a common city to start or end a cruise. It is also home to a major international airport hub, which means there are a plethora of non-stop flights from the U.S. daily.
What cities besides Amsterdam do you recommend visiting?
The Hague is not to miss! It is a fabulous destination for those interested in art, architecture, food, and shopping. The Hauge is also the home to the Dutch government and parliament.
When is the best time to see the tulips?
While the blooming timeline is ultimately up to Mother Nature, the optimum time to see the tulips is Mid-April. If the Netherlands has experienced a mild winter, the tulips may bloom as early as March. If a severe winter has occurred, the flowers may not bloom until early May. But, generally speaking, April is the best month to visit.
