There are so many cruise lines, so why choose Seabourn? Just like Brownell, Seabourn makes enriching lives a top priority. When you sail on one of their intimate ships, you don’t just see a destination; you experience it. Seabourn’s vessels can cruise into the heart of landmark cities as well as into hidden gems so you don’t have to spend time getting to the city or waiting in lines with packs of tourists. Onboard, Seabourn’s award-winning staff, exceptional dining, and all-suite accommodations ensure a relaxing, personalized experience. But that’s not it – below are five more key differences that set Seabourn apart from the rest.
Ventures by Seabourn
Seabourn takes shore excursions to a new level with Ventures by Seabourn. These excursions take you on zodiacs or kayaks for an exciting way to see a destination. Led by an expedition team of scientists, scholars, and naturalists, you get a chance to learn and experience the destination up close.
The newest in the Seabourn fleet, the Encore is set to debut in December 2016. The Encore holds 604 passengers, and every suite on the ship features a Verandah. The ship was designed by preeminent designer Adam Tihany. After studying Seabourn’s overall product, he strove to create an environment that complemented the guests’ travel experience and used ultra-luxury elements often found in private yachts. The Seabourn Encore debuts in December 2016 – see itineraries here!
Forget making a reservation months – even a year! – in advance to dine at one of Thomas Keller’s renowned restaurants. You can try his award-winning cuisine on the Seabourn Quest and Encore* at The Grill by Thomas Keller. And there isn’t even an upcharge! (Just be sure to make a reservation!) The Seabourn Sojourn and Odyssey will have the restaurant in the future, but until then Thomas Keller cuisine is featured on all ships in various different venues. Bon Appetit!

Spa & Wellness Program
Simply sailing with Seabourn is a relaxing experience, but The Spa at Seabourn takes it to a new level. The Seabourn Odyssey, Sojourn, and Quest feature the largest spas in the fleet and include everything from a Finnish sauna to a Thermal Suite Lounge. And Seabourn just announced the Spa and Wellness program with Dr. Andrew Weil on all the ships. The first of its kind at sea, this program offers complimentary yoga and meditation and Mind and Body seminars.
Not every passenger is the same, so why would the service be the same? Seabourn has an extraordinarily high staff-to-guest ratio to ensure the finest, most personalized service. The award-winning staff strives to learn each individual’s preferences, all the way down to the in-suite mini bar. The heartfelt, sincere hospitality will make you feel so comfortable and relaxed that the ship will truly feel like your home away from home.
