Jessica Ourisman, an Independent Advisor for Brownell, had the pleasure of visiting Turks and Caicos and touring the Amanyara, a luxury resort located next to Malcolm’s Beach. Read below for her review of this unique property and be inspired to jet set to the Caribbean to escape these chilly winter days.
Turks and Caicos boasts some of the most beautiful and pristine white beaches in the world. With daily flights from Miami and JFK and almost daily flights from Atlanta and Charlotte, it is an easy destination to access!
During my trip, I was able to tour the Amanyara, a beautiful resort next to Malcolm’s Beach. It was everything I expected from the upscale Aman brand: calm and stylish. There were elements of subtle luxury in every detail. With stunning architecture and art, this property has an immediate WOW factor. It makes a great first impression. I especially loved the reflecting pool in the center of the main area. Overall, the hotel is quiet and serene, but the beach area is lively, so there is some variety!
The accommodations at Aman are ultra-exclusive and offer a wide range of set ups. They include private pavilions or villas ranging from studios to 5-bedrooms, and all are staffed with a butler. The ocean pavilions have breath taking views of the turquoise water, while the pool pavilions have their own over-sized plunge pools. With this much variety at a single location, there is definitely something for everyone. The two bedroom suites complete with private pools are perfect for families.
To get around this quaint property, bicycles and golf carts are readily available and are the preferred mode of transportation. The chef is excellent and the resort features an eclectic menu filled dishes from around the world. The pad thai is a favorite! And last but certainly not least, the spa keeps you continually relaxed with a wide array of services. The treatment at night under the stars is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before!
This trip to Turks and Caicos seems like the ultimate definition of “tranquility”. Who’s ready to go for a relaxing and warm weekend?
