Ask an Advisor - Anguilla

Ask an advisor
Is the island open year-round?

No. In fact, we do not recommend visiting Anguilla at all during the month of September. Not only is it peak hurricane season, but many hotels and restaurants are closed, giving the island a “ghost-town” feel.  Even if hotels remain open, they may be operating with a partial staff and might not have all of their restaurants operating.

What is there to do on the island?

Anguilla boasts some of the best snorkeling and diving that the Caribbean has to offer. Much of this can be experiences right off the beach of your hotel or resort. There are also a lot of restaurants spread throughout the island, some serving gourmet cuisine, with others offering a casual beach atmosphere.

Is this a good Caribbean option for honeymoons?

Yes! In fact, we highly recommend this island over a few others for honeymoons. With 33 secluded beaches, Anguilla is the perfect place to go and “disappear”. It is super secluded and very private.
