Fun at Reynolds Plantation Family Camp
I spent the
last 3 days of June at Reynolds Plantation experiencing their "Family Camp"
package with 2 of my grandsons and my daughter. We had so much fun especially
canoeing... it was their 1st time. The oldest said it was his best vacation yet!!
And, it is certainly one of mine as well.
The Lodge is lovely…
rustic elegance. We had a 2 bedroom suite with balconies facing the lake which
was lovely also as was the food, service, and spa. The spa was over - the- top
facilities especially the pool. I'd like to go back there this winter and
experience everything with the fireplaces.
The "Family Camp"
package is great because we were able to experience all of the activities as long
as and as many times as we wanted to participate in them. Canoeing being the favorite
for us; however we spent time biking, hiking, swimming in the pool & lake,
jumping on tubes in the lake, roasting marshmallows in the fire pit to make smores
in the evening. Also had kayaking and golf which we did (my 1st time & not
my "thing") the last day. The boys both play as my daughter, but it
was their 1st time to have a caddy…. They loved telling their Dad about
that!
I also saw the homes which are very nice especially the 4 bedroom.
The amenities in them were grand… old fashioned bathtubs which you can
sit in and look out at the trees and lake, comfortable cozy furniture, fireplaces,
well equipped kitchens in case you do not want to eat out or purchase club access.
All in all it was grand and only an hour drive from Atlanta!
