On July 4, 1887 Walter T. Brownell and ten guests set sail from New York aboard the SS Devonia bound for Europe. Little did they know, these intrepid travelers were the first roots of a legacy that has serviced more than 75,000 clients throughout the decades. Today, Brownell is the leading upscale travel firm in the Southeast.
In 2004 Brownell merged with Sterling Travel in Atlanta gaining entre into the fastest-growing market in the South. Sterling Brownell's innovative Hosting and Mentoring Program are leading the industry in developing top-notch, luxury travel consultants.
It is the mission of Brownell to provide its clients with exceptional travel experiences. This means we offer each of our clients white-glove service with only their desires and requirements in mind. Our consultants are among the most recognized and experienced in the world.
Brownell is a member of Virtuoso, the world's oldest and most prestigious leisure travel association. Less than 1% of America's agencies are accepted for membership in Virtuoso. These select agencies must be able to offer clients extensive knowledge and wide-ranging experience on travel throughout the world.
